
Prof. Feng Zhou

Biography:
Feng Zhou is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor, a nationally registered civil engineer (geotechnical), and a visiting scholar at City University of Hong Kong. He currently serves as the Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Transportation and Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Research Center for Safety Assurance Technology of Transportation Infrastructure. He is the leader of the “Advanced Techniques in Deep Foundation Engineering” team in the Jiangsu Province Excellent Science and Technology Innovation Program and a young academic leader in the Jiangsu Provincial 333 Talent Project. With extensive experience in soil mechanics and foundation engineering, he has led over 30 research projects, including significant national defense projects and various national and provincial funding initiatives. He has filed over 70 national patents, with 58 authorized, and published more than 100 academic papers, including over 50 indexed by SCI/EI. Additionally, he has authored two monographs, contributed to two others, and compiled six technical standards. Zhou has received more than 20 provincial and ministerial awards, including the China Invention Association Person of the Year Award and the Second Prize for Technological Progress in Fujian Province. He serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals and holds leadership roles in professional societies, including the Jiangsu Provincial Soil Mechanics and Engineering Society. Furthermore, he is an expert reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation and various academic journals, including the International Journal of Geomechanics.

Prof. Shoufeng Lu

Biography:
Professor Shoufeng Lu is a master's and Ph.D. supervisor and the leader of the Transportation Engineering discipline at Nanjing Tech University. He is also the deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Infrastructure Safety Assurance Engineering Research Center and the head of the "Intelligent Transportation and Smart Highways" micro-specialization. His main research areas include intelligent transportation systems and mesoscopic traffic flow modeling. He serves as a communication review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation and is a member of the China Transportation Association and the East Asia Transportation Association.

Prof. Petros Ioannou

Biography:
Petros A. Ioannou received his B.Sc. with First Class Honors from University College London in 1978 and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1980 and 1982. He joined the University of Southern California (USC) in 1982, where he currently holds the A.V. ‘Bal’ Balakrishnan Chair and directs the Center of Advanced Transportation Technologies and the METRANS research program. He has held visiting positions at universities in Australia, Cyprus, and Greece. Dr. Ioannou is a leading researcher in robust adaptive control, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and vehicle dynamics. His accolades include the IEEE ITSS Outstanding ITS Application and Research Awards, the IEEE Transportation Technologies Field Award, the IET Heaviside Medal, and the 2022 induction to the National Academy of Engineering. He is a Fellow of IEEE, IFAC, AAAS, and the National Academy of Inventors. He has authored over 400 publications and nine books. Dr. Ioannou has held significant leadership roles, including Vice President for Membership of the IEEE ITS Society and Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. He is a co-founder of the Mediterranean Control Association and the METRANS University Transportation Center.
